Marvin "Old Man" Ray Johnson Obituary

Surrounded by loved ones, Marvin "Old Man" Ray Johnson, 79 years old, passed away peacefully in Little Rock Baptist Medical Hospital on Monday, October 16, 2017 after a battle with Cancer. Marvin is survived by his wife and love of his life for 54 years, Freda Johnson of McGehee, two beautiful daughters, Arlus Wall (Steven) of McGehee, and Patti Kelly (Scott) of Gravette, AR, and two precious grandchildren- Joshua Jenkins (Lindsey) of Conway, AR, and Whitney Ray Wall of McGehee. He is preceded in death by his only son, Marvin Ray Johnson, Jr, all four siblings, and his parents, Vernon and Stella Johnson of McGehee. Marvin was a member of the Arkansas City Baptist Church. After graduation from Arkansas City High School in 1957, he spent 8 years with the National Guard. He was a Lifetime Member of the North American Hunting Club. Marvin retired from Potlatch Corporation after 25 years of service. He loved hunting with his sidekicks, Walter and Tiffany Cooper, and spending time with his family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7pm, October 18, 2017 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 2pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the McGehee Cemetery.
