Guy Junior Campbell

Mr. Guy Junior Campbell of Searcy, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the age of 79. He was born August 31, 1938 in Magness, the son of Guy and Nora (Treadway) Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a United States Army Veteran, where he served in Korea and Vietnam as a Military Police Officer, and a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. He spent his life working, farming with family, operating heavy equipment, serving as a Police Officer, and finally retiring from the Batesville Water Department. Perhaps his greatest joy was the time he spent traveling the country with Marjorie, visiting his family. Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; one brother, Thomas Paul Campbell; and one sister, Nora Louise Campbell. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Moore) Campbell of the home; two sons, Jeffery Todd Campbell and wife, Phyllis of Williston, North Dakota, and James Clyde Campbell of Searcy; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; his trusted companion, Peanut; and a lifetime of friends. Friends may visit at the funeral home Monday, October 23, 2017, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. The family of Mr. Campbell wish to extend a special thanks to Arkansas Hospice and Home Instead Home Health for their loving care.
