Loudene Boyster

Ms. Loudene “Lucy” Boyster of Romance, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, March 31, 2017, at the age of 77. She was born February 8, 1940, in Newport, Arkansas, the daughter of Clyde and Mary Imogene (Moore) Lewis. Ms. Boyster grew up in the Remmel Community and was a 1957 graduate of Newport High School. She was a member of the Romance Church of Christ; she grew up in the Remmel Church of Christ. While living in Newport she worked as a secretary for Kaneaster Hodges, Sr. and John Minor Insurance. After moving to Lake Village she worked for the Drew and Mazzanti Law Firm, the Epstein Cotton Gin and also the Chicot County Courthouse. Ms. Boyster also spent time working for Baptist Health in Heber Springs. Ms. Boyster had many hobbies including, reading, bowling, and ceramics. She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Ms. Boyster had a great sense of humor, possessed a strong spirit and was quite feisty. Her family will always remember they were her greatest love. She was preceded in death by her parents. Ms. Boyster is survived by one son, Joseph A. Boyster of Rohwer; two daughters, Deirdre McBride and husband, Dale, of Romance and Melody Britton and fiancée, Jim Morgan, of Heber Springs; her former husband, Jimmy A. Boyster of Indian Switch; seven grandchildren, Andy Chaney and wife, Corinne, Matt Bryant, Courtney Sargent, Liz Alton, and husband, Trey, Austin Boyster, Justin McBride, and wife, Ashley and Missy McBride; ten great-grandchildren, Macy Chaney, Adrianna Alton, Ryder Chaney, Lewis Alton, Clay Chaney, Colton McBride, Jude Alton , Cooper McBride, Heidi Boyster, and Jaxon Boyster. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Terrell Coleman, Gene Johnston, Grant Vannatter, Ray Duckworth, Scott Hunter and Steve Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are Al Cothern, Rayford Whittle, and Charles Evans. Friends may visit at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Remmel-McCall Cemetery.
