Mr. Owen Eugene Turner, 68, of Bradford died Thursday, September 08, 2011 at his home. He was born September 18, 1942 at Grubbs, the son of Owen and Gladys Helen (Guffey) Turner. Mr. Turner was a retired golf course superintendent at The Course at River Oaks in Searcy. He was a member of the Bradford Church of Christ. Mr. Turner was a member of the Possum Grape Coon Club, and loved riding horses for the Hillbilly Horse Show Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially loved his family. Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Roy Turner and Jimmy Ray Turner; and two sisters, Bernis Eades and Martha Traywick. He is survived by his wife, Patsy; one son, Joe Turner and wife Jodie of Bradford; one daughter, Carla Hamilton of Bradford; three brothers, Charles Turner, Frank Turner, and Boyce Turner, all of Bradford; one sister, Pauline George of Cash; four grandchildren, Landon Turner and wife Miriah, Megan Turner, Charles Cooper, and Amanda Meeks and husband Jimmy; two great-grandchildren, Kyndan Turner and Emery Turner. Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Bradford Church of Christ with interment in Coffeyville Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jerry Pile, Joe Blevins, David Whitener, Bobby Rhew, Larry Jones, and John Reed. Honorary pallbearers are Leroy Mitchell and Benoni Bullard.
