Andrea Lorene Gavia Obituary

Andrea Lorene Gavia, 48, Elk Grove resident, passed away on March 25, 2020. She was born on March 04, 1972, to Stanley and Patricia Gavia in Sacramento, California. She was the fourth of six children. Andrea was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and loyal friend. As a young girl, she clung to her mother’s apron strings not wanting to go far from her mother’s sight. As she grew older, she became a daddy’s girl and remained that way into adulthood. Andrea attended Sacramento High School where she enrolled in the VAPAC program (visual and performing arts center) and her love for dance and the arts began. She was a lover of dance, theatre and good music. Andrea was well-known in the Elk Grove Community and worked for Dr. Hugh Lubkin at Laguna Chiropractic Clinic in Elk Grove for over 20 years. She started as a massage therapist where her focus was on the healing and recovering process of each patient. She was kind and caring. Andrea quickly promoted to office manager and Dr. Hugh Lubkin began sharing his wide range of knowledge with her. Her main priority was to ensure that patients received the quality care they deserved. In 2015, Andrea joined Adelberg & Associates Medical Group working in the medical legal field. Andrea’s extensive knowledge was a benefit to all of the medical offices she worked for. She will be greatly missed. Andrea adored her nieces and nephews and the strong bond she shared with each one of them. They all called her “Honey”. Andrea’s helpful personality could easily be seen in her volunteer work in the community. Andrea loved people and life. She enjoyed gardening, reading and was committed to God and her devotionals. She delighted in Authors C.S. Lewis & Emily Giffin. Andrea looked forward to her morning walks at the park, grabbing a Starbucks, catching a good movie on a Tuesday afternoon, trips to the coast and spending time at Dillon Beach. Throughout her life, Andrea put her family and others first. She is survived by her parents; her siblings David Gavia (Lynn), Darlene Gavia-Rankin, Shelly Dailey (David), Michael Gavia (Heather), Amber Baker (Jeffrey); and numerous nieces and nephews. Immediate burial will be Tuesday, April 7, 2020 Pleasant Grove Cemetery 10232 Pleasant Grove School Road, Elk Grove, CA, 95624.
