Arthur Dean Alcantar Obituary

Arthur Dean Alcantar, 59 of Ontario was born on Sept. 30, 1958 to Olivia (Lozano) and William G. Alcantar. He entered Heaven’s gates on Sept. 20, 2018 surrounded by his entire family.
He was proceeded in death by his father, William G. Alcantar and Step Father Frank Lozano.
He is survived by his Wife, Teresa Alcantar. Mother, Olivia Lozano. Two sisters, Linda (Gabriel) Falcon and Suzie Garcia. His brothers, William “Joey”, Chris and Michael Alcantar and Wayne Divine. His children, Sonia Alcantar and Art (Andrea) Alcantar Jr. Step Daughters Nicole (Andy) Prudencio and Melissa (Junior) Arechiga. Grandchildren: Frank (Bobbylynn) and Albert “Gordy” Padilla, Arthur “Buby”, Ariyana and Amber Alcantar, Elijah, Maylyn and Urijah Prudencio, and Jacob and Sadie Arechiga. Many Aunts, one Uncle and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Art graduated from Upland High School in 1976 and joined the U.S. Army serving for 10 years in North Carolina and Germany, where he learned to love computers. He was a System’s Analyst/Project Manager and worked for Capitol Records, MCA, Warner Bros, Farmer’s Insurance and Universal.
He was a collector of many different things and enjoyed his consignment store at the Vintage Vault in Upland. He had a love for Baseball, was the little league coach for Artie’s teams at Ontario Eastern Little League and eventually became the League President in preparation for his first Grandson. He LOVED the Los Angeles Dodger’s and spent many hours watching games and visiting Dodger Stadium. His Family was and is a Dodger’s Family. He and Terry enjoyed taking trips and visiting Catalina Island for their birthdays and anniversary.
Art and Terry stepped into Abundant Living Family Church on June 21, 2009 and found their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with the help of Pastor Diego Meza. Because of Pastor Diego Art had a relationship with God!
Art was deeply loved by all for being a humble, caring and giving man. He will be deeply missed by all and remembered for his love for God, the movie theatre, music and a good steak – medium rare of course!!
