Albert Edward Huggins Obituary

Albert was born and reared in the state of Massachusetts. He joined the US Navy in July 1943, at age 17 and sailed aboard the destroyer “Luce” from 1943- 1944. He was honorably discharged in December 1945 as Boatswain Mate 1st Class in Bremerton, WA. He worked as a carpenter’s helper, an auto mechanic, and later as a civilian worker at the Bremerton Navy Yard. He led a very colorful life, bringing great joy into people’s lives as a square-dance teacher and caller. He worked also at the game of gold (playing fairly well), and in his later years enjoyed playing pool with his friends and family. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Dina, his four sons, Daniel, Albert, David, and James, 22 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren, his niece Gail, nephew Robert, and many cousins and relatives in the New England states.
