David Caldwell Hunter, 76 of Hemet, CA passed away on Tuesday April 18, 2017 in Hemet, CA. He was born January 24, 1941 in Huntington Park CA, to the late Ralph and Phileatha Hunter. He was married to the love of his life, Carolyn Hunter for 56 wonderful years. David was proud of his Hemet roots where his grandparents traveled three days across the mountain in a covered wagon to settle in the valley. David had a dynamic personality and was an entrepreneur who owned many businesses in Hemet ranging from a VW mechanic shop to a successful barber shop. He loved working at American Adventure as a manager where he could be outdoors. He could tinker and fix just about anything. David also was very involved with Ryan Field Fire Department as a volunteer for many years. His family describe him as a very dear, special man who was family oriented. He will be missed by those that knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, three children Jack, Craig, and Kathleen, 6 grandchildren, and his brother Michael. Services will be private.
