Donna Lee Schumacher, 87 of Anza, CA passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at her home in Anza, CA .
She was born Saturday, September 20, 1930 in Omaha, NE and was the daughter of the late Conrad Lindblom and Mary Crow.
Donna was a "Chef to the Stars." While working as a chef at the Big Bear Lake Hotel and the Navajo restaurants in Big Bear Lake, CA, she cooked meals for movies stars like Roy Rogers, Dale Evans and Clint Walker just to name a few. She also wrote and published a cookbook.
In her free time, Donna loved to cook for family, friends and charities. She was famous for her peanut butter pie and would bake and donate her pies to the VFW and the Living Hope Church to help them raise money.
Surviving are sons Terry Pearcy and Mark Pearcy, brother Nels Lindblom, grandchildren Robert Pearcy, John Pearcy and Trinda Pearcy, great grandchildren Justine Castellano and Daniel Castellano.
She is preceded by her parents Conrad and Mary and son, Robert Pearcy.
Services are being held at the Anza Community Hall located at 56630 CA-371, Anza, CA 92539 on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 4 p.m.
