Geraldine "Gerry" Godde, a long time resident of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at home November 14th 2018 at age 83 surrounded by her family. Gerry was born to her parents James and Grace McLaurin on September 26th, 1935 in Lancaster.
She attended Puente Union High School in La Puente, California. Was married to Lawrence "Butch" Godde in May of 1954 for over 60 years.
Gerry loved to volunteer time in her community. As a young woman she was very active and quite prominent in the Quartz Hills Junior Women'a club. Later becoming very involved with the 4H club with sons Jeff and Mike. Gerry was also a long time volunteer at the Antelope Valley Hospital. She loved her church - The Living Hope Christian Fellowship where she faithfully attended service for many years.
She loved traveling in their motor home and family vacations. But her greatest joy was always her family at the holidays, family reunions - anytime she could be together with her family was good.

Geraldine "Gerry" Godde was met in heaven, with welcoming arms, by her husband "Butch", her parents Grace and James McLaurin, sister Nadine Maricich, and brothers Elden, Pete, and Donnie McLaurin. She is survived by her son Jeff and wife Ruth and son Mike and wife Julie and their families Mary, Jimmy, Joe, Anna, Patrick, Justin, Mariah and Matthew - and many nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.
Services will be held at Halley Olsen Mortuary on November 20th, 2018.
