She was an immaculate home maker and an excellent cook who enjoyed preparing many delicious dishes for her family and friends. Hendricks graduated from Rosedale High School and Pasadena City College. She spent much of her adult life in Pasadena, CA, where she met and married Bobby Hendricks, to which two sons were born. She was employed by the United States Postal Service and worked along with her sister and care-giver, Ms. Holly Montgomery, for many years. Later she moved fora short period back home to open Brown's Bar-B-Q and met old friends and made many new ones. She was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church, Homewood, AL.
