ATANASOFF, BARBARA “ANSTED” entered into rest peacefully at home in Carmichael after a brave battle with Ovarian Cancer on Monday, February 24, 2014. She was born Tuesday, August 28, 1934 in Oakland, CA and a resident of the Sacramento area for the past 53 years. Barbara Graduated from Sacramento High School in 1952 and then went on with her career in the trucking-transportation industry for over 42 years. Barbara worked for Merchants Express, Consolidated Freightways, PMT, Fort Sutter Distributing- CDC. Barbara is survived by her children Nicki Davis (John) and Paul Ansted. Brother Robert “Bob” Evensen; grandchildren, Angie Dillon (Matt), John Davis Jr., (Laura), Sarah Nicole Ansted and 4 great grand-children. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Chris and Lee (Noppe) Evensen, husbands George Atanasoff and Donald Ansted Jr. Barbara loved to travel the United States in her 5th Wheel and Motorhome. Barbara looked forward to going to lunch, movies and the Music Circus with her friends. A memorial service will be held at Carmichael Presbyterian Church, 5645 Marconi Avenue, Carmichael, CA 95608 on Saturday March 15th at 11:00 am.
