Nancy Shallcross Obituary

Nancy Lois Shallcross passed away peacefully in Carmichael, California on August 25th at the age of eighty-two. Nancy was predeceased by her Husband Joseph who were married for fifty nine-years, and parents Lucille and Edward Martin. She is survived by her brother Ron, and her three children Joanne, Michael and Laura. Joseph and Nancy were married at St. Alban's in Chicago, Illinois on September 6th, 1958. Nancy is lovingly remembered by her daughter Joanne, son-in-law Herbert, son Michael, daughter-in-law Kathryn, daughter Laura, son-in-law Morgan, Grand-children Caroline (Lupe), Herb (Jalena), Mathew, Kyle, Lucy, and James, Great-grand-children Jordan, Nanci, and Alazela. Brother Ron, and many other cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews. Nancy was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 16th 1937. She graduated from Carl Schurz High School in 1956. She met her husband Joseph in Chicago while working at Polk Brothers in 1956, was married in 1958. When Joseph was drafted in 1960 they moved to Georgia and got their dog Sandy. Eventually they relocated to Washington where Joseph was stationed at Fort Lewis and they had their daughter Joanne. After Joseph was honorably discharged from the Army they moved the family back to the Chicago area where they had their Son Michael. Eventually they moved the family out to Schaumburg in 1968 where they had daughter Laura. She was a wonderful loving house wife, home maker, and book keeper until she retired in 2014. Nancy loved dogs, cats, birds, music, crafts, walking, good food, her family and friends.
