RALPH RICHARD CROWDER "Dick" Entered into rest Monday, August 25, 2014 peacefully at home in Roseville, California surrounded by his loving family. Dick was a native of Chicago, Illinois born Sunday, December 8, 1929 and a resident of Placer County for the last 18 years. Dick was the devoted husband of Sharon (Romine) Crowder for the past 59 years, and loving father to Dana Janine Schroeder (husband Ted), and Kevin Crowder (wife Cathy). Also a wonderful grandpa to Tim Schroeder (fiancée, Gennifer) Allison Schroeder (fiancée, Umesh) and Catherine Crowder, also survived by a brother Phil Crowder (wife Mary Lou). He is preceded in death by both parents Ralph B. and Elizabeth (Knight) Crowder also a sister Marie Schottenhamel (husband Irwin). Dick was a Master Sergeant in the United States Army and was very patriotic to his country, retiring from the Veterans Administration enjoying his life with family and friends and was a charter member of Sun City Singers. In lieu of flowers your contributions can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, Wounded Warriors or Green Valley Hospice 3009 Douglas Blvd. Ste. 160 Roseville, CA. The family invites you to attend a Celebration of His Life on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 5:00pm located within Del Webb Sun City Sierra Pines 7600 Whistlestop Way Roseville, California. A Committal Ceremony with active Duty Military Honors by the United Stated Army will be 9:30am on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery in Dixon, California. Funeral Services will be provided with honor by Chapel of the Valley in Roseville, California
