Ferris Malouff

Longtime Alamosa resident Ferris G. Malouff, 101, died peacefully on February 9, 2019 in his home of 67 years and is now in the arms of his loved ones gone before him. Ferris was born in Trinidad Colorado after his grandparents migrated to the United States from Lebanon. He moved to Alamosa in the 40’s and ran several businesses in town, including a grocery store, liquor store, the R & M Cafe and the Sands Restaurant. He was married to his lovely wife Virginia for 70 years before she passed in 2017, the couple had four children, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Ferris was still golfing, mowing and riding his bike in his early nineties. Many people in town remember him as he got around well. He was an Elks member for 77 years, the longest standing member in the nation. Ferris always said to find some little thing every day to make you happy.
