She is survived by her loving husband Harry, her children Chris, Julie, Linda, Sharon and Paul, her siblings Joannie, Don, Mary Lou, Owen, Patty, Peggy and Carol, her 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at St. Joan of Arc church on Friday May 5th; viewing 9:30am, rosary 10:30am, Mass 11:00am with a reception following at the church hall. About Betsy Those who knew our mother knew how wonderful she was. She always saw the good in everyone and never had a negative word about anyone. Her laugh was infectious, her smile lit up the room and her faith gave peace to those around her. She grew up in Fort Collins in a large and loving family. She moved to Denver and met the man of her dreams, our dad. Dad knew she was the one for him from the beginning. After just a short month of dating, he proposed to her and a few months later they were married. She was so happy that on their honeymoon, she told dad to pull the car over because she wanted to write her new name in the snow. As kids, we were each loved so deeply by our mother. She made each of us feel special and unique. There are so many fond memories of our time with mom. The many vacations and camping trips, family reunions, neighborhood block parties and the holidays. One of her favorites was April Fool’s Day. She always had such fun tricks she would play on us. One of our favorites is the year she set all the clocks ahead one hour. Then she woke us up and told us we were late for school. She didn’t tell us it was an April Fool’s joke until after we went all the way to the bus stop. She loved to gather around family and friends. Playing card games and other games was some of her favorite things to do. It wasn’t about the winning, but about being around those she loved. Selfishly we wanted more time with you mom, but God saw you in pain and brought you into his arms. You will truly be missed by everyone but we are grateful you are no longer in pain. We love you to pieces. Until we meet again.
