Joaquin Abraham Quintana

Joaquin Quintana, 35 of Lakewood passed away July 3, 2017. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 15th at 1:00pm at the Arvada Elks Lodge, 5700 Yukon St. Arvada CO 80004. Joaquin A. Quintana 35, of Lakewood, CO, died July 3, 2017 as a result of heart failure. He was born December 1, 1981 in Denver, the son of the late Jose (Jim) Quintana and Annabel Montoya. He attended Show Low, Arizona schools and moved to Connecticut graduating from Waterford High School. Joaquin was an avid DJ with gigs at numerous events and clubs. This was his passion. He also enjoyed cooking as a profession and in his spare time spinning and scratching records with friends, biking, weight lifting and spending time outdoors. He loved to volunteer at the Troy Chavez Memorial Peace Garden. A cherry tree will be planted in his honor at 38th & Shoshone St., Denver, CO Joaquin is survived by his mother Annabel Montoya, Stepfather Daniel Martinez; stepbrothers Justin DiTommaso, Andre Martinez and Miles Martinez. He also leaves numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
