Curtis, 87, of Northglenn, Colorado, passed away peacefully after a sudden stroke. He was a graduate of Moose Lake High School in 1948. Curt served in the United States Air Force from 1951 – 1955 as an aircraft mechanic. Curtis married Vivian Waisanen in February 1952. They began their life together in Anchorage, Alaska, then on to Oklahoma where he received his aircraft mechanic license, and then back to Alaska. In 1955, he was employed with Pacific Northern Airlines. During their time in Alaska they enjoyed church activities at Central Lutheran and Hope Lutheran churches and made many life-long friends. They continue to this day their connection with a special Round Robin group. In 1960, they moved to San Francisco where Curt began his work with United Airlines. He then transferred to Denver, Colorado in 1964 and continued with UAL until his retirement in 1992. Curt and Vivian have remained active with the UAL Retirees group over the years. They also enjoyed flying with United Airlines, traveling with their motorhome, and their “Road Runners” camping group.

Curt and Vivian were blessed with four children: Anne, Karen, Susan, and Alan, and 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Some of Curt’s favorite activities were traveling, snow and water skiing with his children and grandchildren, camping, woodworking, working on cars, reading, assembling puzzles, gardening, and he truly enjoyed spending time with his family.
