Lon Jordan Matulovich was born October 5, 1948 in Deadwood, South Dakota to Frank and Margeret Matulovich where he spent his childhood growing up with his little sister Pam. After graduating from LEAD High School in 1968 Lon moved to Westminster, Colorado looking for work when he found the love of his life in the summer of 1969. While planning his life with Linda, Lon was drafted into the US Army and sent to boot camp in Ft. Lewis Washington in February of 1970. After boot camp Lon came home and married Linda on June 20, 1970 then got shipped to Korea with the 17th infantry until 1972. He and Linda soon started their family. They have two sons Bob Matulovich and his wife April of Colorado Springs, their two children Cristionna and Kane. Randy Matulovich and his wife Crystal of Utah, their three sons Mark, Ethan and Rhyler. Lon enjoyed spending time out in the wilderness fishing, taking pictures or just being with family and friends. He also enjoyed his little camper that he spent his time rebuilding for his fishing trips up in the mountains. Lon also passed his time with his new found hobby of knife building. Lon loved his family and his friends and every chance he had to spend with them he always made it special and memorable. Lon passed away December 7, 2011 the same way he lived his life. Surrounded by his family and friends, the love of his life by his side!
