Randall Lee Blaine was born on January 28, 1950 in Sterling, CO and passed away on August 27, 2017 riding his bike in Broomfield, CO. He loved camping, the outdoors and fishing which he shared with anyone he could. He started his career in medicine, working at the VA Hospital in Denver. He eventually changed careers, working with his real love, cars. He worked as a Service Writer until he retired. He was the type of person you aspired to be, because he was the most responsible person that you knew. He never missed the small details like an oil change or flushing his water lines. The small things were never lost on him, and everyone who knew him could always depend on his help with the things you hadn’t thought to prepare for. He survived quadruple heart bypass surgery, which gave him seven more years to enjoy going on adventures with his dog Buddy and watching the Broncos win the Super Bowl. He is preceded in death by his father Earl Lee Blaine, his mother Eva Romayne (nee Zuhlke) Blaine. He is survived by his sister Glenda Blaine, and his two daughters Holly Blaine Vanzant and Debra Blaine who he taught a love of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Star Trek way before it was cool. He also passed on his love of the outdoors and our National Parks. For anyone who would like to memorialize him, we are asking to please go to the National Park Foundation and make a donation in his name.
