Barnabas “Barney” Czikora, age 71, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1988, passed away September 12, 2011 at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado.  Mr. Czikora was born on November 4, 1939 in Dorog, Hungary, a son of the late Barnabas and Teresia Szoloi Czikora. Barney retired as a CW4 from the United States Army in 1995 after serving 37 years.  The military was his life.  He taught everyone to "do it right the first time."   He is survived by two children, Diane Cranage and Kevin Czikora; one sister, Teresia “Teri” Jozsa; and one granddaughter, Deanna Cranage.  He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Ilse Ingrid Kottke Czikora, on April 14, 2008.  Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will at 12:30 P.M. on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
