Bertha Blomstrand

Bertha Faye Blomstrand went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 11, 2014. She was born on February 29, 1924 in Royalton, Illinois to Joseph and Carman Finley. Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Paul (Dick) Blomstrand and her only child, Stephen Cole Boots (Barbara) of Colorado Springs; sister, Barbara Naylor of Royalton, Illinois; brother, Mickey Finley of Springfield, Illinois. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Alethea Koury of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Chris Boots (Gen) of Colorado Springs, 6 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Joe (Buddy) Finley.Faye moved to Colorado Springs in August 2013 with her husband and both lived at Laurel Manor Care Center. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Laurel Manor Care Center, 930 S. Chelton Road, Colorado Springs.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Laurel Manor Care Center Activity, Faye's favorite spot at the Care Center to help provide activities for all. Arrangements are under the care of Evergreen Funeral Home in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
