Connie Rose Obituary

Connie was a beloved Mother, Wife, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and the youngest and only remaining child of nine born to William Haile and Truda (Hopper) Haile in Claremore, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Rose in 1999. During WWII she was a "Rose the Riverter"; she built the planes and her husband jumped out of them, as he was a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne at the time. She is survived by her daughters Sheila (Dick) Wood, Kimberly (Dennis) Robinson, and Pamela (Jerry) Protsman. In addition, there are 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Connie was a kind, loving and a spitfire of a woman who managed to create a warm and inviting home everywhere the Army decided her husband was needed. She was also very creative and has passed down her artistic talents to some of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.Small private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Evergreen Funeral Home in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
