Born in Madison, WI to Harold Swingley Jr. and Barbare, he graduated from Monona Grove High School, WI and attended Ft. Lewis College in Colorado. Dan was a former student of the Gemology Institute of America and was working at Moretti Jewelers in Colorado Springs. Dan never turned away a friend in need and was never without a roommate. He enjoyed cooking for large groups of friends. No beer was too stout, no green chili too spicy, and no joke too risqué. He had a passion and talent for designing and creating jewelry. Dan took great pride in his work ethics and dedication to his jewelry and clients. In his “spare time”, Dan enjoyed spending time with his many friends camping, fishing, motorcycle riding, photography, computer games, and listening to music. Dan touched many lives and will be missed by his mother, Barbara Sweat, (step-father Herbert Sweat), brother Scott (Dee), step-brothers Jason (Vicki), Aaron(Rosemary), and many nephews and nieces who all had the privilege of knowing him.
