Dorothea Eileen McElderry July 25, 1943 to August 26, 2012 Dorothea Eileen (Mason) McElderry, age 88, passed away Sunday afternoon on the eve of her 89th birthday.  She was born in Middletown IL, daughter of Andy and Lena Mason, seventh of 13 children.  She married James W. McElderry July 25, 1943, in Hollywood CA, and moved to Colorado Springs CO in 1953.  She worked as a medical office assistant, was active in the El Paso County medical assistants association and retired as office manager for Neurological Associates. Survivors include her son J. Patrick McElderry and spouse Jeanne, her sister Judy May of Lincoln IL, her brothers Paul Mason of Middletown IL and Pat Mason of Pekin IL.  She will be ever treasured by granddaughters Kelley Jiron, Erin Hittman and Mary McElderry, and great-grandchildren Audrey Lessard, Dylan and Bryce Jiron, and Aisling Hittman.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, nine siblings and grandson J. Patrick McElderry Jr. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 pm Friday August 31, 2012, at Blunt Mortuary with a rosary at 6 pm.  Funeral mass will be at 10:30 am Saturday September 1, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donation is invited to a charity of one’s choice.
