Edna Johnston
Edna Isabelle Johnston, age 82, passed away on October 3, 2011 in Colorado Springs. She was born on December 1, 1928 in Boston Massachusetts, a daughter of the late, Frank and Isabelle (Dickenson) Dyer. March 3, 1954 Edna married Norman R. Johnston in Raton, New Mexico and began starting their family in Colorado Springs before moving to Penrose in 1962, where Edna was involved as a homemaker, nursing, Cub Scouts, 4-H and other activities to help the family to grow strong. She was also a member of the United Methodist church in Florence, Colorado. Edna is preceded in death by her husband, Norman R. Johnston, a sister Mary Scott, mother and father in law Charles H, Noma B. Johnston, daughter in law Rhonda Johnston. Edna is survived by her 3 sons, Steve of Florence, Colorado, Roger of Henderson, Colorado and David of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Visitation to be held 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Friday, October 7, 2011 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910, immediately following graveside services at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 South.
