Major Franklin B Sipes Jr., (USAF Retired), a Colorado Springs resident, was called home by his Heavenly Father on April 15th, 2011. Mr. Sipes was born on November 25, 1951, in Aurora, Colorado, to Franklin and Virgina Sipes. Frank spent over 30 years proudly serving his Country in the US Army,US Air Force, and Civil Service from which he retired in 2008. He is survived by his mother, Virginia; sister, Renee; his sons, Matthew and Jason and his loving wife of 40 years Jackie. Memorial service will be at 3:15 PM on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in his name be made to the “Wounded Warrior Project”.
