Herman John Bachman, age 81, a longtime Colorado Springs resident, passed away on May 18, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Herman was born February 6, 1932 in Dora, New Mexico to the late William and Nannie May Bachman (Williams). Herman was a devoted husband, family provider, and father who was always full of fun, with a sense of humor that everyone looked forward to when being around him, and had a positive outlook. He has worked as a Construction worker, farm hand, Volunteer Firefighter, Real Estate Agent, Tap Dancer, served in the US Navy, worked at the old Outwest Printery as a Bookbinder and was a Business Co-Owner – Midwest Printery. Herman’s most favorite activities were serving his church, being able to help others, and loved playing with the grandkids. Herman married Loyce LaVerne Bachman (Heisch) on October 11, 1953, in Portales, New Mexico, and they moved to the Colorado Springs area shortly after that, where they have made their home since that time. Herman is survived by two daughters and one son, Ronda Bridgeman (Phillip) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Brenda Mulvany (Ralph) of Red Oak, Texas, and Gregory Bachman of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is also survived by siblings, Earl Bachman, Geraldine “Gerry” Schwartz, Myrna Jean Budlong and May Davis (Bachman). and six grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Loyce, and 1 sibling: William L. “Buster” Bachman
