Hildegarde M. Cullens, age 94, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, passed away May 12, 2011 in Colorado Springs . She was born November 22, 1916, in Kansas City, Missouri, the youngest daughter of the late Emanuel M. and Bertha M. (Widmann) Hahn. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Colorado Springs and was a prior directress of the Altar Guild at the Church. She had also worked with Braille Bible Books. She is survived by a daughter, Cathy Chappell and a son, Philip and spouse Sylvia, five grandchildren, Philip Cullens, Denise Gwaltney, Heath Cullens, Matthew Chappell and Brian Chappell, eleven great grandchildren, Chloe, Alexandria, Dawn, Devon, Dylan, Austin, Makayla, Corey, Alix, Gilliana, Azden and several nieces and nephews. Hilde was preceded in death by her husband, Arch Cullens and by a great grandson, Nicholas Cullens. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2226 N. Corona Street Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907.
