Jacqueline Yvonne Walker July 31, 1971 – May 6, 2012 Jacqueline “Jackie” Yvonne Walker was born on July 31, 1971 to the union of Taylor and Sun-Cha Walker, and entered eternal life on May 6, 2012. Jackie leaves behind a large family. In addition to her mother, father, and her brother, John III, she has two nieces, Erainna and Mayah, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly. She also had several lifelong friends, including Sylvia, who she met in Belgium in the 1980s and has been best friends with ever since. Born in Camp Zama, Japan, Jackie lived in Korea, Belgium, Germany, Arizona, Boston, California, and Denver before settling in Colorado Springs. She was a lifelong seeker of knowledge, receiving a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado, and reading everything from mystery novels to art books. Jackie was a beautiful young woman with a kind heart and gentle soul, and shared a very close relationship with her parents and brother, often spending hours talking to her dad about his day, sitting at the dining room table with her Oma (mom), and trading daily texts with her brother. She was her nieces’ favorite person in the world. Services will be held at the Evergreen Funeral Home (1830 E Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs CO 80910) on Friday, May 11, at 1pm. A viewing is scheduled for Thursday from 5-7pm and is open to the public. The family has asked that you consider a donation to the Caring Voice Coalition, which provides support to patients with chronic illnesses.
