James Edward Dixon May 8, 1956 – August 14, 2012   James Edward Dixon, age 56, of Monument, passed away suddenly on August 14, 2012 in Durango, Colorado.  Jim was born in Warren, Ohio on May 8, 1956 to the late William George and Shirley Jane (Kinderman) Dixon.  He graduated from Colorado Tech University with a Bachelors Degree in Solar Engineering.  He was currently the General Manager of Pro-Build in Durango.  Jim sat on the Board of Directors for the Home Builders Association of Southwest Colorado.  Jim also volunteered with Habitat For Humanity. Jim was an avid fisherman and golfer.  He enjoyed living in the moments of Nascar races, “GO 24” and followed his Pittsburgh Steelers through thick and thin.    Jim is survived by his wife, Penny; children Shawn Dixon, Melissa White, James Dixon, Jennifer Dixon and Tabitha Dixon; grandchildren Ryes Dixon and Sophia White, as well as a large circle of friends. A time of Visitation will be held at 10AM on Saturday, August 18, 2012, followed by a Funeral Service at 11AM at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 3010 W. Bijou Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
