James Douglas Eide Obituary

James D. Eide, age 72, passed away on November 30th, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jim was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to James A. Eide and Dorothy (Faltz) Eide on November 6th, 1948. After graduating from Cedarburg High School, he attended two years of college and then acquired a position with a finance company. In 1972, Jim relocated with the company to Colorado Springs. Over the years, he thoroughly enjoyed his work as a finance manager at local car and RV dealerships and made many great friends along the way. Jim was an avid outdoorsman and member of the Tallow River Trappers. He especially enjoyed attending Rendezvous and various Mountain Man events with his fellow Buckskinners in Colorado. Throughout his life, Jim was passionate about guitar, hunting, fishing and the art of photography. Jim had a huge heart, and if there was anything he did more than love, it was making people laugh. Jim is survived by his wife Kathleen (Kitti), his daughter Molly, his cousins Laurie and Jeffery Faltz of Colorado Springs, and his cousins in Wisconsin and Australia. There will be a Mass of Christian burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church on December 15th. Due to concerns over the pandemic, the service is limited to family only. A celebration of Jim’s life will be planned for the summer of 2021. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation in Jim’s name to The Pike’s Peak Humane Society, 610 Abbott Lane, Colorado Springs, CO 80905, or to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1830 S. Corona Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80905.
