Joel Rau

Joel R. Rau, age 42, a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on April 1, 2011 in Colorado Springs. Joel was born on January 17, 1969 to R. Frederick and Diane Gommel Rau Jr. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He loved to fish and fly his remote controlled helicopters. He was a musician and enjoyed playing the piano and the bass guitar. Joel worked as a maintenance technician for the Atmel Corporation in Colorado Springs. He is survived by his wife, Dottie Rau, his parents, Fred and Diane Rau, a brother, Jonathan (Karen) Rau and two nephews, Gabe and Sean Rau. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Redeemer Lutheran Church 2226 N. Corona Ave. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907.
