Katha Elisabeth Cubello

Katha Elisabeth Cubello, 87, a loving wife and mother to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren died on October 6, 2015. She was born on May 13, 1928 in Bergen-Enkheim, Germany. She was married to Jimmy Cubello in Germany, where they lived for several years. They also lived in Maryland for 25 years before moving to Colorado Springs in 1987. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1989. After her husband's death, she took up oil-painting. Her work was displayed at local Art Shows and she taught painting to young children. She also loved raising Koi fish in her beautiful backyard ponds. She loved traveling the world, having been to many places throughout Europe, Hawaii, the Philippines, and the United States. She was most fond, however, of the majestic Colorado Mountains. She is survived by her sister Else Reyes; her brother Ludwig Kruck, and his wife, Marita; her children, Charles Cubello; Patrick Cubello and his wife, Irmgard; Sylvia Okala and her husband, Michael; Leonard Cubello and his wife, Ester; her grandchildren, Kristofer Cubello and his wife, Amanda; Michael Cubello; Steven Cubello and his wife, Jean; Timothy Cubello; her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Tyler, and Elizabeth.
