Luella H. Jensen, age 97, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on May 17, 2011 in Colorado Springs. Luella was born September 2, 1913 in Stephenville, Kansas, a daughter of the late Ralph and Ella Castellan Early. She graduated from high school in Longmont, Colorado and worked for many years as a Bookkeeper. Luella loved quilting and playing games. Her favorites were scrabble and yahtzee. She is survived by two sons, Ron Olson of Overland Park, Kansas and Larry Olson of Colorado Springs; two sisters, Laura Belle Rogers from Arizona and Margie Yesberger of Richmond Washington; 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rudy Olson, and her second husband, Marshall Jensen; her daughter, Cleta Blankis and her son, Jerry Olson. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 8:00PM, Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Evergreen Funeral Home. Interment will be at 9:00 A.M., Monday, May 23, 2011 at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Blvd., Colorado Springs.
