Luise Bigler Obituary

Luise M. Bigler, age 87, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on February 13, 2011 in Colorado Springs. Luise was born on August 20, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York, a daughter of the late John Charles and Bertha Louise Happ Moeri. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. She loved to cook; she had also taught sewing classes. Luise had worked at the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind, having helped the children with Braille. Luise is survived by children, Myron G. (Sandra) Bigler, Meredith (Raymond) Golden and Randall J. (Marva) Bigler, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband Myron G. and a sister, Janet Nichols. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel 1830 E. Fountain Blvd. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind 33 N. Institute Street Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
