Manuel Enrique Romero December 18, 1948 – April 23, 2011 Manuel Enrique Romero, longtime resident of Colorado Springs, went peacefully to meet his Lord on April 23, 2011 at the age of 62. He was born on December 18, 1948 in Velarde, New Mexico where he moved to Colorado in 1969. He spent his time fulfilling his passion as a barber, often volunteering his services to those in need. Manuel loved to spend time with his family and friends, always bringing happiness to everyone around him. Manuel was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Romero and daughter Phyllis “Sister” Barela. He is survived by his loving wife, soul mate and best friend of 40 years, Cecilia Romero; son, Robert; 4 daughters, Ruby, Sandy (Eric), Barbara (David) and Stephanie (Raul); 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchild; 2 brothers, Joe and Eddie Romero and many extended family and friends to numerous to mention. A Visitation will be held from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 27, 2011 followed by Funeral Service at 2:00 at Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado. Burial immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs, Colorado.Obituary
