Marceline Maier

Marceline B. Maier, age 83, and a long time resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on June 30, 2011. She was born January 14, 1928 in Pound, Virginia. Marceline was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She had a true passion for gardening and loved to travel. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Marceline is survived by 3 sons, Cal (Kathy) Martin, Ralph (Gail) Martin, and Steve Bane; a step-son, Bill Maier; a step-daughter, Marina Maier; 3 sisters, Bernice, Glenda and Mildred; 6 brothers, Farrell, Sheldon, Bernard, Joe, Dan and Ron; 3 grandchildren, Michell (Joe), Destiny (Cliff) and Brandon; and 4 great grandchildren, Ava, Dean, Calvin and Taydem . Marceline is preceded in death by her husband, Waldermar Maier. Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday July, 7 2011 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 2315 Bott Ave., Colorado Springs, Colorado and/or Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care, 825 E. Pikes Peak Ave., Suite 600, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
