Marcus Shirrell Green, age 87, a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on May 20, 2011 in Colorado Springs.  Marcus was born on September 30, 1923 in Colorado Springs, to the late Garfield and Nannie (Chinn) Green.       Marcus loved spending time with his daughter and he was a true scholar with the history of his church as well as Black History.  He was a true Bronco fan and loved the Skysox and Rockies Baseball.  He had a wonderful sense of humor as his favorite quote became his nickname “Mr Terrible”.  He was a life-long member of Peoples Church.   Marcus is survived by his daughter, Manila Green and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marguerite Esther; two brothers and one sister.    Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.  Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Peoples United Methodist Church, 5110 Tamlin Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80938-9601.  Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
