Margaret Lucille Hodson, age 87, passed away on March 23, 2011 in Colorado Springs. Margaret was born on July 25, 1923 in Norton, Kansas to Leslie C. and Clara L. Gilder. She was an only child. Margaret lived in Center, Colorado from an early age and graduated high school at Center High School in 1941. She married Harry Hodson on June 3, 1942 in Aztec, New Mexico. Harry and Margaret were married for 59 years and spent many years in Leadville, Colorado where they raised their family and were in business for many years. Margaret was a housewife and lifetime partner to her husband as they worked in construction and several ventures. From 1976 until 1988 they farmed at Center, Colorado and upon retirement moved to Colorado Springs, where they enjoyed being close to family and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harry and grandson Tommy Devine. She is survived by two daughters; Marjie L. Mays and husband, Roland of Colorado Springs and Linda J. Young of Libby, Montana, grandchildren, Scott Jacobson and his wife, Marina of Centennial, Colorado, Glenn Jacobson of Colorado Springs, Dan Devine and his wife, Pam of Marion. Montana, Calvin Young and his wife, Jenny of Boise, Idaho, Melinda Martin and her husband, Kevin of Boise, Idaho, Leonard Young and his wife, Anna of Boise, Idaho, Steve Mays and his wife, Michele of Tallahassee, Florida, Carla Harmon and her husband, Allen of Colorado Springs and also by 6 great grandsons and 9 great granddaughters and several great great grandchildren. Margaret loved all of her family and enjoyed being part of their lives and doing things with them. She enjoyed being a homemaker, reading, traveling in their motor home, gardening, doing arts and crafts, working with the Rebekah Lodge in Hooper, Colorado and Colorado Springs, Colorado and attending Circle Drive Baptist Church in Colorado Springs. She will be missed by family and friends until we all gather in heaven for eternity. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, March 25, 2011 at Evergreen Funeral Home 1830 E. Fountain Blvd. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Evergreen Cemetery 1005 South Hancock Colorado Springs, Colorado. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pikes Peak Lodge #38 or Sunshine Rebekah Lodge # 92 575 South Union Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
