Margaret Nelson

Margaret Louise Nelson, age 82, passed away on August 9, 2011 in Colorado Springs. She was born on November 28, 1928 in Omaha, Nebraska to Willis and May (Allen) Spencer. Margaret embraced and cherished her independence and loved to spend time with her family and friends.  She loved to garden, sew, play pinochle, and she was an avid and life-long learner.  Margaret is survived by her husband, Eugene Nelson; 3 daughters, Carol Byer, Cheryl Bertrand and Connie (Fred) Morrell; a son, Michael Nelson; 4 granddaughters; 8 grandsons and many great grandchildren and friends.  Celebration of Margaret’s life is from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Wyndam Place, in the Library Room, 725 S. Weber, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested making a donation in her name to your favorite charity.
