Maxine Smith Obituary

Maxine Isabel Smith November 18, 1927 to February 16, 2012   Maxine Isabel Smith, age 84, passed away at her home on February 16, 2012 surrounded by her family in Fountain, Colorado.  She was born on November 18, 1927 in Bagley, Wisconsin to the late Henry A. and Emma F. (Clark) Cook.   Maxine love to spend time with her family and friends, she also was a devoted Christian, enjoying going to World Victory Outreach, meeting her friends and enjoying the music and the message.  Mom played piano and guitar in her free time in her earlier years in Muscola, Wisconsin.  She really enjoyed her road trips, especially to Wall Drug and Yellowstone, but more recently the road trips in the Rockies.  Eating out at some of her favorite restaurants, always leaving Christian Tracks.   Maxine was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Henry. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Berendes; 4 sons, Larry Smith, Michael Smith, Wayne (Barbara) Smith and Randy Smith; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and many extended family and friends too numerous to mention.  She will be missed by all.   The Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2012 with a Funeral Service immediately following at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Funeral Home Chapel, 1830 East Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.   Burial is scheduled at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Blue River Valley Church Cemetery, Muscoda, Wisconsin.
