Mildred Bergren

Mildred Lucille Bergren, “Humma” a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado went to be with Jesus on January 30, 2011 at the age of 96. She was born on June 2, 1914 in Kinta, Oklahoma to the late Joseph and Virgie Blair. Mildred married Quentin R. Bergren and spent many happy years of married life together, before his passing in 1983. Two of her greatest joys were fishing and spending time with her grandsons and great grandchildren. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Mike) Jamison and son, Kim Bergren. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Robbie (Dawn) Cheesman, Aaron (Jen) Cheesman. Nick (Amy) Bergren; step-grandchildren, Jason (Catherine) Jamison and Katie (Oldin) Mayorga; a special nephew, Wayne (Jean) Hammons and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, 10 siblings, son, Fred Holeman and grandson, Freddie Holeman. Visitation will be 12:00 PM- 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 3, 2011 with funeral services at 1:00 PM at Blunt Mortuary Chapel, 2229 W. Colorado Avenue. Burial will directly follow at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Activity Program at Sunny Vista Living Center, 2400 E. Cache La Poudre St., C/S, CO. 80909, or Pikes Peak Hospice, 825 E. Pikes Peak Ave., Ste. 600, C/S, CO. 80903.
