Ralph Clifton Johnson January 10,1939 – July 2, 2013 Ralph Johnson, a beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on July 2, 2013. He was born on January 10, 1939 in Parkville, Missouri to Orvel and Lovera Johnson who preceded him in death as did his sister, Betty. He leaves behind, Jean, his devoted wife of almost 51 years; his loving children Elizabeth (Rob) Collins, Amy Owens, Stephanie (Chris) Halpin, Bradley (Nagare) Johnson and Sarah (Scott) Bagley; and his sister Judy Kirtley. He and his wife were blessed with 9 grandchildren: Talynn Bagley; Ashley, Ryan and Brandon Halpin; Tyler, Kyle and Brock Owens; and Tristan and Cassandra Collins. Ralph and Jean met at Philips University in 1960, married in 1962 and moved to Colorado Springs in 1963 where they both became teachers in the Widefield school district. He was a high school teacher and coach for 32 years. He was a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church for 49 years where he served as an usher the entire time. He was also an elder, deacon and longtime member of the Pathfinders Sunday School class. Ralph dedicated his life to being a great husband, father and grandfather. He will be remembered as a man of honor, a friend to everyone he met, a sports enthusiast with a particular passion for tennis, basketball, football and golf, a teller of jokes and stories and most of all, a devoted family man. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 8 at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 219 E Bijou St., Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
