Raymond Freeman

Raymond Vance Freeman, 83, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 with his family by his side. Raymond was born July 26, 1931 in Rockingham, North Carolina. He joined the Army in 1949, serving in both Korea and Viet Nam. Raymond was a highly decorated soldier and retired from the Army in 1978. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Huldah Freeman and their children; Barbara Welborn of Colorado Springs, Connie Coalson of Hopewell, Virginia and Donald Paris of Colorado Springs. He was preceded in death by a son Robert Paris. Raymond also had children from a previous marriage; Vance, Donald, Robby and Debbie all from California. Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, October 14th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00 am at Evergreen Funeral Home, as well. Pastor Gary Skinner will be officiating. The burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expy, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.A reception will be held at Shiloh Chapel located at the corner of Union and Pikes Peak Ave. in Colorado Springs immediately following the graveside service.
