Rev. Glenn Omer McPherson, age 98, a life long resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on November 26, 2010 in Colorado Springs. Rev. McPherson was born on January 29, 1912 in Colorado Springs, a son of the late Guy Omer and Cora Vinette Phillips McPherson. He was a graduate of Colorado Springs High School in 1932 and York (Nebraska) College in 1938 and from United Seminary in Dayton, Ohio in 1943. Rev. McPherson had been associated with Pikes Peak United Methodist Church for over 52 years and had been a member of the conference for 77 years. He was a former member of the Focus Camera Club and the Colorado Springs Alumni Association. He also loved growing flowers. Rev. McPherson is survived by his daughter, Sharon (James G. Weatherson of Villa Rica, Georgia, a son, Paul (Susan) McPherson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 6 grandchildren, Lisa Cicutto, Michael Cicutto, Lachelle Cicutto, Brian McPherson, Kevin McPherson, Amber Balistreri and 10 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Ilene Dutton, a brother, Willard J. McPherson and 2 sisters, May Opal McPherson and Pearl Sipes. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Pikes Peak United Methodist Church 2927 W. Pikes Peak Ave. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904.
