Richard Warner “Rich” Bennett Jr. passed away unexpectedly in his home on Jan. 12, 2016, in Monument, Colo., at 54 years young. He was husband to Dianne Mathews-Bennett. They shared a wonderful 33 years of marriage together. Rich was born on May 26, 1961, in Pueblo, Colo., to his parents, Richard Warner Bennett and Elizabeth “Betty” Bennett-McFarlane. He graduated from East High School in 1979 and went on to earn a BSBA (management and finance) from the University of Southern Colorado in 1984. Rich worked in manufacturing management throughout various parts of the country, only to return home to Colorado in 2003 to start his own business. His family resides in Monument, Colo. He is survived by his wife, Dianne; and their two children, Britany Bennett-Busenbark (Tyler) and Joshua Bennett (Kayanna); his stepfather, Art McFarlane, his sisters, Cathy Bennett-Standridge (George) and Betsy Bennett-Fink (Duane); his brothers, Michael Bennett, Jason Bennett (Becky), Brian Bennett; and parents-in-law, Don and Shirley Mathews; brother-in-law, Scott Mathews (Pattie); sister- in-law, Becky Mathews- Bennett (Jason); and many nieces and nephews who adored him. There will be a celebration of Rich’s life held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, at Broadway Christian Church, 206 Broadway Ave., Pueblo, CO 81004.
