Rose White

Rose M. White was born February 25, 1926, in Colorado Springs, to Dorothy M. and Samuel C. Thorpe. She lived her entire life in Park and Teller Counties. On September 22, 1950, she married Donald W. White, who passed away in May, 1989. She loved the outdoors, riding the range on a good horse, gardening and bringing home firewood for the winter. Rose is survived by her daughter Cheryl Bauer (Ron), two grandsons, Joshua Bauer and Benjamin Bauer and two great grandsons, Justin Bauer and Aiden Bauer. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and brother, Gilbert E. Thorpe. Rose was active in her community with the Four mile Farmers’ Club the Pine Cone Home Demonstration Clun, served on committees with the BLM in Canon City, and the Four mile Cemetery Board. Graveside services are Monday, December 8, 2014, at 11:00 am at the Four mile Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Blunt Mortuary in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
