Sin Skaggs Colorado Springs, Colorado Obituary

Sin Skaggs

Sin Won (Chon) Skaggs, a 35 year resident of Colorado Springs, passed away July 26, 2011 after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer.  Sin was born in Korea October 13, 1937 to her parents, Chon Moon-Il and Kim Boke-Jo. As a young girl, she lived through the Japanese forced occupation and the Korean War.  Sin immigrated to the United States in 1976 and stayed in Colorado Springs where she loved the blue skies, changing mountains and crystal water.  She enjoyed hiking, gardening, reading and shopping, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren who were the light of her life.  She is survived by her husband, Edward T. Skaggs with whom she shared 35 years of marriage; her daughter and son-in-law, Song and Haeoh Choe; her grandsons, Ian, Eric and Ethan Choe; her sister and brother-in-law, Kum Sun and Thaddeus Ware; and her niece, Valarie Ware. She will be dearly missed and always remembered with love by her family.  The family would like to express gratitude for the care provided by Pikes Peak Hospice and its wonderful staff.  A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, August 1, 2011 at Hilltop Baptist Church, 6915 Palmer Park Blvd. in Colorado Springs.
