Barbara Ann Marsolek Denver, Colorado Obituary

Barbara Ann Marsolek

On December 25, 2013, our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend continued her journey with God. Barbara Marsolek was born in Denver, Colorado at Rose Medical Center in 1941. After graduating from East High School, she married Herb Marsolek and shortly after had two children, Judy and Steve. Judy and Steve blessed her with 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Barbara was a Certified Nurse's Aid in the Denver area until her retirement. Her favorite aspect of CNA work was home care. Caring for people was important to her and she was professional and personal with her patients, treating them like family. Some of the things she enjoyed were: going out to dinner, her cats, her bird (Bojo - still alive after 20 years), her rabbits, collecting pigs, playing Bunco or any card games and enjoying her grandchildren. She was a big fan of the Wii games and was good at them too! Her feisty personality and outspoken opinion were some of her best assets and worst enemies, we would love to hear any stories anyone would like to share, we have many. We realized that her departing on Christmas day was a gift. We continue to learn how many lives she touched and that has been a comfort to all of us. She had a difficult year with her health but continued to fight for health and care for others in her residence building. Thank you God for receiving her on your son's birthday, we relinquish her into your hands and will cherish this day until we see her again. We are having a celebration of life party at Judy Marsolek's house on January 11, 2014, starting at 1:00 p.m., 11620 E. Montana Pl.., Aurora, CO., 80012. (303) 751-2555. If you cannot attend the celebration and would like to share condolences with Judy or Steve, please contact Judy at (303) 751-2555, and Steve at (303) 880-9409.
